World Conservation Congress 2025

The WCC 2025 podcast on “faith and conservation,” The Missing piece in conservation? Engaging world faiths and worldviews at the grassroots, highlights how faiths, beliefs, and worldviews – which engender our values – are central to effective conservation. The speakers discussed how Christian, Islamic, Indigenous, and other faith traditions drive community stewardship of the environment (or nature, creation), from sacred groves to pastoralist co-management. The panellists call for genuine partnerships, the adoption of more relational values, and long-term collaboration to achieve lasting ecological impact.

Torrance Retreat 2025

The 2025 Torrance Retreat held in Killin, Scotland, on 12-14 November 2025, emphasised that Christian life is not striving but sharing in Christ’s own communion with the Father through the Spirit. Participants explored our embodied hope, resurrection-shaped ethics, Trinitarian life, the unity of science and faith, and Christ-centred formation—all pointing to a single reality: participation in God’s transforming life.

More information about the Torrance Retreat (November 2025) is available in the blog Beyond Striving: 5 Theological Truths That Will Change How You See Your Faithand in the more systematic review of the retreat and its major themes.
