The Kyrgyz Nomad Trail is a long-distance trail network across Kyrgyzstan connecting and inspired by local communities, world explorers, and the natural environment that we all share. Conceived jointly by Yuval Yellin and Marc Foggin since 2019* but developed in earnest and fully hiked by Yuval Yellin, the Kyrgyz Nomad Trail was launched in 2024.
* An early long-distance trail concept was developed by Marc Foggin in 2019, provisionally called The Great Tianshan Trail. However, it is Yuval Yellin who ultimately translated the concept into reality, starting from 2022. See Yuval’s insightful LongTrails blog posts here.
